The Sport for All Legacy Fund, totaling $375,000, will be distributed across three key areas:

Youth Sport Grant (up to age 21): Allocating $20,000 annually, with grants up to $1,000 per request, to assist with equipment costs, travel expenses, registration fees, and more.

Sports Clubs: Providing $20,000 annually, divided into four grants of $5,000 each, to support teams, clubs, and organizations with specific needs.

Major Sports Infrastructure: Offering $40,000 annually, split into two grants of up to $20,000 each, for new construction or improvements to existing sports facilities. These grants aim to enhance accessibility, increase participation, improve facility quality, or introduce new sporting options.
The fund was made possible through the generosity of local businesses and individuals, who collectively contributed nearly $400,000 during the Ontario Winter Games. HOW TO APPLY
STEP 1: Assess eligibility and gather information
· Are you eligible? Review the application form and determine if you or your organization fit the criteria.
· Check which municipality you live in. (Note – you MUST be a resident of Renfrew County)
· Select one of the 3 categories to apply from section C of the form.
· NOTE: If you are applying for the Individual Youth Sports, you must be 21 and under, and you must submit your application through a registered municipality or charity. They will complete section A of the form.
Eg: An individual living in Renfrew must submit the form at the Municipal office in Renfrew who will complete section A and forward the application to the Community Foundation.
· IF you are a sports team or organization seeking funding, gather your organization information (Charitable registration number etc.)
STEP 2: Gather your project information and documentation
· Identify your project objective
· Prepare your project plan
· Identify budget items that align to your project plan
· If applicable, obtain quotes and estimates for goods and services valued above $5,000
· If applicable, provide photos of non-fixed equipment needed to deliver your project
STEP 3: Complete and submit your form
· Fill out the form with as much detail as possible about your need for funds and how it will be used
· Be sure to include a budget and attach price quote and estimates for any major costs that you may have (even if above the requesting amount)
· Municipalities and sports organizations/sports teams may submit the application directly to the Ottawa Valley Community Foundation by email or post.
Individuals:
· Are you under 18? A parent or legal guardian must sign and date the form.
· Take the application to your municipality office along with any other requested documents BEFORE the deadline.
· The municipality will stamp and date the form and forward it to the Foundation for consideration.
