OVCF Bereavment Fund Application Form
Eligibility
- Grants are made only to organizations recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency as registered charities.
- Applicants must demonstrate fiscal responsibility and effective management.
- Organizations must be based in the Pembroke, Petawawa, and surrounding area and projects must benefit the residents of the Pembroke, Petawawa and surrounding area.
- The applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the project through meaningful contributions of their own human and/or financial resources.
Grant Criteria:
The OVCF provides grants to fund projects in the following sectors:
- Animal Welfare
- Arts, Culture and Heritage
- Bereavement
- Children, Youth and Families
- Education
- Environment
- Health, Wellness and Research
- Social Welfare (for economically disadvantaged groups.)
Funding Restrictions:
The OVCF will not support grants for the following sectors:
- Ongoing core operations (e.g. permanent staff salaries)
- Fundraising events or campaigns
- Partisan political or religious activities
- Individuals
- Event Sponsorships
- Deficit reduction
- Equipment purchases for administrative purposes
How To Apply:
Step 1:
Read the Grant Guidelines to determine if your organization is eligible and if your proposal is a good fit with the program’s objectives and project eligibility criteria.
Step 2:
Complete the application form. Please answer all of the questions in the space provided. All fields are required unless otherwise indicated. The application must be complete for consideration. Please be respectful of word count limits; applications that are in excess will not be accepted. Please note: draft applications will not be reviewed by OVCF staff and/or volunteers.
Step 4:
Submit the application. One copy of the completed application form should be delivered by email to the OVCF at foundation@givingthatgrows.com.
